The 2024 Summer Reading Program (SRP) theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library. Children ages 3 and up, teens, and adults are invited to log their reading time over the summer. There will be weekly raffle prizes for those who read 60 minutes per week and a Grand Prize for one lucky winner in each age group who reads at least 960 minutes (16 hours) by the end of the 8-week program.

Elementary (1-4 grade) - $100 Amazon Gift Card
Middle & High School (5-12 grade) - $100 Amazon Gift Card
Adults (18+) - $100 Amazon Gift Card
To sign up for the SRP, download the Beanstack App - you'll use the app to log your reading. It's free and easy to use. Follow the instructions below to get started. Though the SRP officially starts on June 23, this year we are starting the challenge early on Beanstack so you can start logging on June 1! Those hours will count towards your overall total. Be sure to stop by the Library each week to confirm your reading time, pick up a raffle ticket, and choose a small prize.

How to Set Up Beanstack
1. Download Beanstack on your device using Google Play or the App Store.
2. Create an account if this is your first time using Beanstack. If you already have an account or have participated in the SRP (or 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten) in the past, skip to the next step.
3. You can create one log-on account for your family, but be sure to "Add a Reader" for each member of your family so everyone can log their own reading separately!
4. Once you log in, select "2023 Summer Reading Program" on your home page and register for the challenge. You should be all set.

We are currently seeking adults and students ages 14 and up to volunteer at the Library from June 21 through August 17 for one (or more) 2-hour shift(s) per week. Students ages 14 & 15 need working papers, which are available at the Library. Stop by the desk and ask for a Summer Volunteer Application, or download and print a copy by clicking the link below. Please return your application ASAP!
