Title: Different Roots, Common Dreams: Exhibit & Discussion
Location: Library Meeting Room
New Hampshire’s Cultural Diversity

Photographer Becky Field has been documenting the lives of immigrants and refugees in New Hampshire, a state known for low cultural diversity. Her work shows that, though we may have different cultural backgrounds, we all have similar dreams for safe homes, secure jobs, and bright futures for our children.

Come and view her wonderful exhibit of photographs and hear her speak about her project.

Recently, Becky partnered with the NH Charitable Foundation to start the Different Roots, Common Dreams Scholarship Fund to help refugees and other immigrants complete a four-year undergraduate degree.

Becky holds a Certificate in Photography from the NH Institute of Art, and has studied photography throughout the Northeast. In past work she was a research ecologist and university professor. She holds masters and doctoral degrees in wildlife ecology. For more, visit

A donation can will be passed after her talk and all proceeds will go to this scholarship fund.  The library will also have a copy of her book for patrons to check out.         603-664-9715
