New Hampshire Society of Genealogists: The New Hampshire Society of Genealogists was founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit organization with the following purposes:
- To Provide education in genealogical research techniques
- To bring together all persons interested in genealogy
- To publish and make available genealogical material
- To ensure public access to records and promote records preservation

received over 22.5 million hits – which slowed everything down. Before you start searching on this site it is
important to know that it is not name-indexed yet.
You will need to know the Enumeration District (ED) that your ancestor lived
in (which is most likely different from a previous census). You can do the tutorial to find your enumeration
district. The tutorial will ask you
questions that will help determine the ED by narrowing down the address where
they lived in 1940. If you already know the address click on the Unified ED Finder button.

Cyndi's List : Cyndi's List has been a trusted genealogy research site for more than 15 years. Cyndi's List is free for everyone to use and it is meant to be your starting point when researching online.
Rochester Public Library Index to the Rochester Courier and the Rochester Times 1900-Present : This page allows you to search obituary listings for the Town of Barrington and surrounding communities alphabetically by last name and century. It will give you the issue it is located in and notate whether it is available through the Rochester Public Library.

The library is also host to an informal genealogy group for sharing of information and ideas. Come share tips about searches, any great finds, and ask for help on dead-ends.
